Children thrive on music. It’s one of the best vehicles for learning in early childhood development. Kindermusik takes musical learning to the next level; our curriculum is proven to improve a child’s brain development. And for parents, it’s a fun thing to do with kids!

What is KinderMusik?

Simply put, Kindermusik is a music and movement program. Each week in class you'll play, listen, and dance to music that will impact you and your child in profound ways. That's because every song, story, and two-step has a carefully chosen purpose in this creative curriculum-one that's designed to stimulate and strengthen the vital neural wiring taking place in your child's mind, right now. A Kindermusik educator will guide you every step of the way so you know how each activity contributes to your child's overall growth and development.

Visionary Centre for the Performing Arts offer a number of different Kindermusik classes for various ages starting at birth all taught by the wonderful Miss Martha! Our Kindermusik sessions can be joined at any time and are offered at both of our locations in Edmonton & St. Albert.

Each month covers a different theme with digital downloads available for you to experience the joy of Kindermusik at home. 

So whether it's twirling under a sea of scarves, experimenting with age-appropriate instruments, singing about a scampering squirrel, creating a musical ensemble, or snuggling in your lap during story time, Kindermusik speaks your child's language and offers her (and you!) the best music and movement class available

More than lullabies and swaying. Kindermusik in-person or virtual Foundations classes include those things, but Educators also teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles

Cuddle, bounce, and bop with your baby in Kindermusik's newest curriculum. Whether your baby is five weeks or five months, this class will be perfect for you! With age-appropriate activities for newborns, infants and crawlers, this parent-child music and movement class will help you strengthen those early parent-child bonds, understand your baby’s development, and heavily focus on child development and communication with your baby. You and your baby will enjoy instrument play, dance, exploration time, and together time—and you’ll get expert advice and parenting resources based on the most recent research in baby development. Each month features a new theme with digital home materials every 5 weeks.

This new Kindermusik curriculum focuses on your child's beginning movement, helping to build the muscles your baby needs to walk, and vocal development, helping to nurture your child’s speaking and singing voice.

With a mix of both parent-child joint activities and child-focused activities, you’ll be able to join right in on all the singing and dancing while also getting the chance to observe how your older baby or toddler learns on her own. Embark on Kindermusik’s fun new exploration of singing, swaying, laughing, and playing through Sing & Play, a just-right mix of early-childhood vocal play and language development, together time, and music and movement activities!

This class has ongoing registrations, you're welcome to join in at any point throughout the year! Each month features a new theme with new digital home materials every 5 weeks.
